Founder and CEO Greg Jevne, began his fascination with Rovers when he purchased a 1967 109 IIA 6-cyl. Land Rover in 1987. Greg discovered that finding functional aftermarket products for Rovers was nearly impossible, so he began building his own. Having a background in fabrication welding and design, this task proved to be the most simplistic element of what eventually would transcend into Safari Gard. After traveling the trails of California, Greg decided it was time for an upgrade. He purchased a salvaged 1976 2 door Range Rover and began the chore of designing and building his ultimate expedition vehicle.
